Can be workable in green/blue, where green can untap lands anytime, and Doubling Season can accelerate counter buildup.

You know, for when you need 10+ mana in a mono blue control deck. Yeah.

The problem with lands like this and their potential combinations with Doubling Season / Gilder Bairn or Proliferate is that you still have to spend mana to get mana. Usually, getting a net gain isn't worth it unless you have an cost worth paying.
But if you're patient, I suppose it wouldn't be bad.

The problem with lands like these are, that there are five of them and some morons copy their post for each one of them.
Its slow, but in a control deck or turbo fog, it can help you get a super boost for your win condition.

The combo of the year 94: these FE storage lands with ley druid. :D

This is nice in a slow format like EDH when you only have this land in your opening hand. I generally won't mulligan if I can afford to wait a few turns.

These work awesome with Winter Orb. It builds counters for you while you ignore it; allowing for large spells to be played now and then for no drawback. My favorite use for it is in my "Ice" deck I use all kinds of obnoxious ice based tappers next to Winter Orb and Dream Tides; this can power out Frost Titan to finish the game.
