Just use Lightning Greaves. Costs less, needs no colored mana, gives haste, doesn't get destroyed when the creature it's on dies...

If you really want the effect in an aura, use Robe of mirror.

...or use Shielding Plax with supershroud and get a new card.

I have a big problem with putting greaves on stuff that doesn't have legs, but i'l still never use this.

It's an old card, that doesn't measure up to modern shroud givers. That's about all you can say.

Purely nostalgic

None of the shroud givers destroy exsiting auras. This does. So play it on your Pacifismed beater.

Like others have said, this is just beaten out by at least a dozen cards. The cost is too high and the wording too weird. In the rare event that you can't use shroud on something for a combo, there are still cheaper cards with the new hexproof ability.

M14 rulechange makes it so that Oblivion Ring/Detention Sphere/Seismic Assault can target the enchanted creature, but if a creature or artifact spell were to try and target (do any exist?) while on the stack, enchanted creature isn't a valid target now. You can't cheat auras onto the enchanted creature anymore (via Sun Titan et al). Not sure how much it's worth, but there you have it.

I have been curious as to the new usage of this card in a black/blue cipher deck. Would the cipher still apply to the creature that is under influence of the anti-magic aura? Or would it be untargetable by the cipher?
