Technically Progenitusdoes have protection from this, because protection from everything includes protection from artifacts (which this is btw). Of course, Meekstone doesn't do any of the things protection helps against, but still...

@Ideatog I'm afraid you are incorrect. There is (ironically enough) nothing about protection from everything that would protect Progenitus from Meekstone. Meekstone neither deals damage, nor is a creature, so the only thing left would be targeting - which Meekstone simply does not do.
This is why cards like Wrath of God can still destroy otherwise protected creatures. And this is also why Meekstone is BOSS.
