millennial gargoyle was a common in gatecrash, and was pretty good in limited gruul if you didn't have a big dragon of sorts. The uncommon rarity isn't that good and will be this cards downfall.

2 power of flying AND another keyword....it's by no means pushed, but it's actually pretty hard to get Flying and first strike for any more discounted mana than a mere 4 colorless.
I think I'd be happy if this were a common. :) (if limited players think that's a bad idea.....screw them.)

In a vacuum, yeah, this guy is bad. But you have to consider him in the Theros block. He's got flying and first strike, which means that any aura on him will turn him into a real threat. There seems to be a lack of evasion throughout the set and a big 0/6 wall at common. This will be better than you think ... in limited only.

This card isn't the greatest, and I wish it was 3/1, but it's nice enough. Flying and first strike at least give you some limited insurance against aggressive fliers, after all, although I'm not sure how much of that Theros has.

It makes sense.
Youthful Knight is a 2/1 with first strike for . Essentially, he's the most basic first striker.
Making him colourless usually adds an extra .
Adding Flying should add an extra .
Bing, Bang, Boom. Wizards created this creature fairly. Making it a 3/1 makes it strictly better than Steeple Roc, and although Steeple Roc isn't the epitome of power creep, giving a cheaper Steeple Roc to all colours would just be silly in Limited.
If you remember Porcelain Legionnaire, you'd know that it was just an amazing creature, whether standard or limited. I don't think Wizards want to have another powerhouse like Legionnaire.
