I guess it's passable because of the context of the set, but otherwise it's horrible. 2.5/5

@Continue.

I think You stupidly forgot that the color change is a big difference. Frankly, it should cost four, but then it wouldn't get into standard. A GREEN a/e exile? Grand for usage. Especially since indestructible gods will be everywhere now. White won't be the only one with exiles. Outside of this there is only Splinter, and it's not as versatile.

It kills gods, but the flavortext is about gods exiling human stuff. Total Flavor disconnect.

THe name of this card is neat.

"Revoke Existence shows that this is overcosted." -Continue

Well that spell costs 1White, and white is better at exiling stuff than the other colors.

The flavour text reminds me of the story of Arachne. Arachne was a weaver that boasted that she was so skilled, that she made better creations than Athena herself. Athena, intrigued by the audacity of a mortal to claim something like that, went to Arachne to look at her masterwork, a beautiful tapestry. Arachne proudly presented her magnum opus to Athena. As Athena examined the tapestry, her mood darkened, as she realised that Arachne was, indeed, a more skilled weaver than even herself. In the end, overcome by jealousy and rage, she tore the tapestry to pieces. Arachne, shocked and traumatised from seeing her masterwork destroyed, ran crying into the woods. Athena, who was one of the goddesses that wasn't a total douchebag, regretted her rash decision, and followed Arachne into the woods. There she found that Arachne had hanged herself in shame. Overcome by guilt, she decided to ressurrect Arachne as the first spider, so that she could forever more weave beautiful webs

@Lord_of_Tresserhorn: The correct word in this case would be "antitheism". =P Atheism is just the lack of belief in gods, while antitheism is the opposition to gods and those who worship the gods.

Gets rid of both Gods and potentially dangerous enchantments, such as Celestial Archon and the Dryad cycle.

It's there to deal with gods, but more importantly to deal with Colossus of Akros.

I thought that this would be at instant speed, seeing how it costs more than naturalize and revoke existence and they are both instants.

Of course you can't kill a god. A god can only be forgotten, hence the name.

@Tiggurix: how strange, in the version I heard Athena turned Arachna into a spider out of spite, in a "oh if you're such a good weaver then you can damn well weave FOREVER!" kind of deal.

@Continue: Disenchant and Naturalize are both destruction effects. You're paying 1 extra to remove a bothersome enchantment or artifact from the game entirely. As for Revoke Existence, well, Mode explained it to you already.

And when was the last time Disenchant was printed? Time Spiral as a relic to the past. Disenchant was corrected to Naturalize much the same way Prodigal Sorcerer became Prodigal Pyromancer. White has enchantment removal, Red has artifact removal, Green has both. Yes, white gets a little artifact removal, but not near as much as Red and Green. And even then, White typically exiles things while Green and Red simply destroy them.

And to everyone asking, that's a ancient Greek styled helmet in the art. the last time White had something like this it was Altar's Light, Devout Chaplain, and Return to Dust, all of which were much more expensive than Revoke Existence.

Welcome to Theros, where the Gods are indestructible.

But apparently any d!ckhead with three mana can send em packing...

@Mode
True, but Green is also supposed to be the color that best deals with artifacts and enchantments. Therefore this should actually be as cheap as revoke existence.

@RoseEsque

First of all, your reliance on insulting other commentors shows that should probably work on your communication skills. Second, again green is supposed to be the best color against artifacts and enchantments, so your entire color change argument doesn't make any sense. This was likely costed at 3 because of the standard environment. There's no reason we can't expect a green version of revoke existence someday.

I think flavor-wise this might be foreshadowing of what's to come for Theros. The gods slowly being forgotten and fading into nothing.

More indestructible enchantment creatures are coming in Born of the Gods. I hope something better comes along because this is a pretty weak sideboard and green can't always remove the devotion like other colors can. 5/7, 6/5 indestructible isn't exactly easy to trample over either.

Revoke Existence shows that this is overcosted. To the people arguing against me: Disenchant, Naturalize. I feel nothing else needs to be said.

edit: Revoke Existence has been confirmed for a reprint in Born of the Gods; also seeing a comeback is Deglamer, albeit as Unravel the Æther. Expect this card's rating to drop well below its current 3.5/5.
