Restoration angel is essentially strictly better, but this can become a 4/4 from the second attack from Aurelia.

Is it me or is it clearly two claws?

Or sixteen claws. Four claws per foot...

Why not just give us a 3/3 flyer for ? It would still be strictly worse than Seraph of the Sword, but it would at least be more playable in Limited. As it is, it's in Shock range, and that's no good.

As mentioned, the only advantage that this card has over many others is the fact that it works well with "additional combat phase" cards. Also, if you play with "Un" cards, Staying Power. If it gained +2/+2 when it attacked, it would actually have been pretty good, I think.

This card is a common. You guys are comparing it to rare cards.

Not very good in its own right, and the flavor text is just awful.

welp, the Scenery on this art is great.
I love the rules box too. It's nice to see Drakes and Griffins occasionally find ways to be a bit better than crap.
the Griffin itself sucks artwise. :P What gives? o.O

Good for limited, unplayable everywhere else.

I'd certainly pay an extra to get a Benalish Veteran with flying any day.

anyone who doesn't like this card hasn't played white in M14 draft. It's a solid card for a common and plenty playable. The world doesn't revolve around constructed.

Great card in limited (Placed in a draft from it) , not that good in other formats. The only reason it's a 2/2 and gains 1/1 is to remind newer players that they can attack.

It's a good mid-pick in M14 limited if you're already playing white. But nobody is ever building a deck around this card.

Creative guy number 1: "what creature type should we make this white flyer?" Creative guy number 2: "is it a lame card?" Creative guy number 1: "yeah." Creative guy number 2: "make it a griffin."
Green's iconic creature it the hydra, but insects and wurms and other get great cards too. Whit'e iconic is the angel, and it doesn't share.
