I use this card in my red/green undying deck, but I can't help but think it's not worth it. The ultimate goal of the card is to die, and if you want that, might as well use Mudbutton Torchrunner.

@Pendulous: I largely agree with you, but this card is at least better when using Fling.

If this had the ability from Gang of Devils/ that card cost only 5, I'd actually want to play it. As it is it's one of those cards where I'm frustrated by a good design I can't validate using.

5-cost 3/3 which has an ability that's hard to control? Not so great.
heh, i can just imagine this with Flayer of the Hatebound, Undying Evil and 2 Flings... flayer is on the battlefield, you swing for 3 with pitchburn devils and 4 with flayer, play undying evil on pitchburn devils, fling for 3 damage + 3 from ability + 4 when it re enters the battlefield, fling again for 4 + 3. 24 damage. meh, not the best combo, but a semi - realistic one, unlike these turn 1 marit lage wins 3.5/5

I think to the card almost everything has been said. What digs me is that the flavor text mentions goblins despite the fact that there are no goblins on Innistrad. Of course it is no quote of some "Innistradian" but I think it doesn't belong there or should be different.

Canyon Minotaur with Lightning Bolt attached to it? Hell yes!
