Fog has a lot of things going for it. It's a measly one CMC, it let's you alpha strike against aggro and not fear the counterswing, it's very combo-able for it's cost and it's a plain classic.

Fog. It wins wars.

Not a card you want to stack up on, but in many situation you need to use the majority of your mana to mount a comeback and can only budget one mana to ensure you survive the next turn.

Fog , Darkness , Holy Day , how I love you. I really should make a WBG deck with 12 of these and something like Sacred Mesa as the win con.

The thing i love about this is for one mana, you can smile and watch the aggro deck you're playing tap all their creatures and do the math to find out they are attacking for 378 damage.
And you take none of it.

The cornerstone namesake of the much maligned Turbo Fog deck. Get yourself a playset, two playsets of other cards with similar effects (Clinging Mists, Riot Control, etc.), a way to recur them (Snapcaster Mage, usually), a few board sweepers for aggro creature decks, and an alternate win condition (usually milling their library via Jace, Memory Adept). Against most players, this deck will elicit a lot of frustration, rolled eyes, and facepalms. Be prepared to lose a lot of friends, or at the very least, apologize repeatedly.

I took this to an FNM and M14 game day. on FNM, I lost one, drew the second (went to turns), and won the third in the most grindy 50-minute match because my win condition was buried at the bottom of my deck, which left me so exhausted that I ended up dropping the fourth round. Game day, against the two people I won against, I had one of them later admitting that he wanted to hit me, to whom I offered my shoulder for him to punch. This deck truly puts the "troll" in "Control".

This effect fits White more than Green.
White's specialty is defense, prevention and protection. Green being passive and preventing damage makes little sense with how aggressive it is.
It's a good card. It just shouldn't be green.

That guy in the front of the art looks like Darth Vader.

I run in my combo decks. Buys enough time to dig one card deeper and drop another land. This is almost a time warp in combo vs aggro games.
