the last time we had a Human Insect Wizard....it didn't cost 4 mana. It also wasn't as fun to play with as it was to look at. This appears to have fixed all those problems:
It now costs 4 mana. It now is fun and fair. It now has slightly (like a star less) weaker art, BUT the tradeoffs seem fair. :)
Frilled Oculus was good, this is better. At least, in limited.

"And for my next trick, I'll turn into a beetle! GRAH!" "..yeah, we get it."

Putrid Leech was good, this one... not bad. Doesn't come down as early, but when you're getting a Serra Angel out of the deal I guess it's a nice uncom-
Wait, it's a common? I had to check and I'm still surprised. THAT is some kitchen table love. (plus it can trigger evolve for larger things, so that's cool EDIT: whoops I got evolve backwards never mind that)

Balanced card. For a common it's actually pretty decent. 4/5
very nice in limited/draft. Frilled Oculus has a buddy in the air

This thing performed many beat downs in the pre-release.

One thing that often works well with cards that have activated abilities reading "use this ability only once each turn" is rings of brighthearth. Though there are more powerful combo pieces for the ring than this.
This guy is very good in limited. In constructed... I don't think he will be that good. Without the two mana spent he'd too bad, and spending two mana each turn would slow you down too much.

This is easily one of, if not the best commons in the set for limited. :)

You thought Human Insect was a weird type line? This dude adds Wizard to that.

I got tore up by this guy in the pre-release so I learned my lesson. Drafted RtR last night, and the Human Insect Wizard was my first pick. I went undefeated. This plus Give got me a 7/7 flyer on turn 5. Very solid in limited. 4/5

This is definitely a great creature for Simic.

The 10 year old in me loves this card cuz it reminds him of his favorite Power Rangers knock-off, Beetleborgs! This card is decent in limited (fair body for the price, and a nice power up). I sincerely wish it were constructed viable, but it gives me a fun toy for themed pauper. Thanks for rekindling my childhood, Wizards! 3.5/5 (although 10 year old me says a kajillion/5)

Interesting card, not terribly useful for Simic. It isn't a mana sink and it doesn't trigger Evolve terribly well.

This card is nothing like a delver people. Costs 2 more and can not reveal instants/sorceries...needs pumping.
