There was no Massacre Girl legendary creature in this block. It's Gisa and Geralf all over again. Unless... is the goblin getting arrested here Massacre Girl? She could be. She's got this hard core rep but she's really just a goblin tagger? It's possible.

People have been comparing this to Ætherize to excess. This is VASTLY more interesting for multiplayer. Apply politics to get one player to attack the other, then bounce all their dudes for just 3? Beautiful.

Well, you can also return your own creatures to hand after you attacked, like if you want to cast a board wipe during the second main phase. Still, that's quite narrow, and this card sucks in general. If a lot of creatures have hit you, you are probably dead. And if you ain't, then bouncing those creatures might even help your opponent, by letting him trigger their enter-the-battlefield abilities again.

Lazenca that's because Wizards appears to Hate Vorthos. -_- I know I know, it makes 0 sense to me as well.
the way I think about is that it's not MAGIC's fault that the flavor is bad and inconsistent and that opportunities are missed- Every Magic set always has the opportunity to be out-fricking-standing like Christmas to a Vorthos.
But some times Maro forgets to Design Massacre Girl or Gissa and Geralf, and sometimes George Lucas puts Jar-Jar Binks in our Star Wars. :P It's a hard knock life being a fan of a thing and then beginning to believe that the people who make what you love don't 'get it' anymore. :/

I'd rather just run Aetherize.

This card does have interesting applications, and is definitely not as straight-forward of a card to use as most (cast spell A for condition Blue, spell B for condition Red...etc). I'm intrigued by it, but for the time being, I still like aetherize. Power aside, I think a "return all creatures that used an ability and all creatures that deal damage this turn to their owners hands" would be neat.

You're ignoring the fact that you return your creatures also? You can return your Restoration Angel that blocked a creature and flick your Thragtusk again.

not so similar to aetherize because you can cast this at the end of turn so your opponent doesn't get the chance of recasting the creatures until his next turn

t3, guttersnipe, go t4, they swing with whatever, and you take that sh!t like a man (you'll probably be around 14-16 life). end of their turn, cast this and start their board over.

This is a very under rated card... Instant speed.. 3cmc... Potentially devastating... At least a sideboard answer to token decks and aggro...
Cyclonic rift for it's overload at 7cmc is a game ending bomb when it resolves.. This is the same card but can be played early game which is when control decks need it...

Even ignoring the perks of returning your own creatures to your hand, play it in multiplayer.
Remember, if your friends punch you in the face because of it it's still assault.

What happens to token creatures? Will they cease to exist with the use of this card or will they stay on the battlefield because they were never in your hand?

Don't forget, when creatures block, they're also dealing damage. Try whipping it out in a multiplayer game after a particularly intense battle between two of your opponents, or try messing with combat between first strike damage and normal damage. Also, 3cmc vs 4cmc can make all the difference in constructed.
There's a lot of potential for some tricky manipulation with this card, I wouldn't dismiss it as worse than AEtherize.
