They just keep cramming more and more abilities onto combat tricks to try and entice us into using them. I'm still not convinced.

@Lorendorky: What kind of combat trick WOULD you consider worthwhile? I figure there has to be some place for chess-style battle gambits in this game's tournaments...

well, now i've seen it all--a white instant with that grants flight i've always wanted my serra avatar to do some sneaky evasion.
Zealous Strike just wasn't good enough for white? Really?

Good for Selesnia and lesser so for Orzhov. Very good for Gruul, if you have mana fixing, by which stage you probably already have Realmwright. And who runs that without Crypt Ghast?

I played this card on my consuming aberration, it milled enough to kill my opponent, and gave the much needed evasion.

Swift Justice is cheaper and much more dangerous offensively, where you're probably going to want a combat trick for a creature that's already blocked (the extra one damage doesn't seem worth it for a creature that's hitting them directly).
But on the defensive when your opponent is trying to sneak a flyer past you? I can appreciate that kind of combat trick. Especially for the Gruul who aren't able to do that normally.

Yeah, people won't realize that this won't do anything after the creature is blocked. There will be much confusion on this card.

Ok in limited, bad everywhere else.

Not bad in limited so long as you remember that you need to give your creature flying BEFORE blockers are declared.

Erm... actually, I kind of miss the Lifelink...
