Okay, for people regularly checking Gatecrash cards on Oracle. I apologize if I'm being repetitive, but I really have to point out that I LOVE useful commons! Democratization of Magic : the Gathering, coming soon! - In an aggro deck, this is a very good replacement for Giant Growth. They have major differences, but I think the optionality of this being a creature outweighs the latter's defensive advantage.
5/5 for being good AND common

@am802g: it will also be a beast in any other format.

Both halves of this card are very good. Should be a high pick in limited.
i am afraid of seeing this one; turn after turn, combat-trick-pwning all my blockers

It will be a beast out of limited too. It says so right below the art, see?

I really like this one. for a 3/2 is pretty underwhelming, but that's not the mode you should use most of the time. No, the mode you'll use more is the almost-Giant Growth. Note that it's also practically uncounterable and is easily recurrable with Wildwood Rebirth in Limited. Sounds good to me. 5/5

Slaughterhorn is brutal, efficient, and to the point. An aggressive based Giant Growth when you need it, or a nasty 3/2 you can easily buff with your other bloodrush cards. I want this guy as a pet.
Plus, we get to see more of the Orzhov clergy being jerks. Which is always darkly hilarious.

I definitely see this guy as the aggro deck's giant growth. A 3/2 is just not really good in a world where it's easy to get 2 power. That said, this is a great split card. Against creature decks this will blow people out and against control decks he's a relevant extra body.
Play with evolve for maximum value!

TO THE FACE!
Seriously, that's all that art makes me think of, it's also an effective way of describing the card too.
Doesn't seem a bad play to bloodrush him super early, then scavenge to Varolz, the Scar-Striped shortly after that. At least his CMC isn't prohibitive to scavenge 3 counters for 3 mana.

Despite the 2 toughness, the possibility of a Giant Growth on the discard just makes this card stand out.
