Not my favorite return-from-graveyard card, except that I LOVE the Flavor so much :D

I think that it's good for someone trying to strike a balance between 'Reanimation' and 'Playing for Fair and Fun'.

Frankly, there are so many faster ways to bring back certain guys that are so huge that +1/+1 makes little difference...but this will get you actually invited back to play next week, and those cards won't :)

You guys are sorely underestimating this card in a modern environment. You hit a titan with this adding green it gets pretty rough.

All about the flavor. The counter, while useless in reanimator decks as mentioned above, could help proliferate, infect or kraj decks along. 3.5/5 good, but not even close to my favorite reanimator, life/death (randomly in the same colors, ha)

There are far crazier cards to return creatures from your graveyard to play, but lets not talk about them. We don't compare every single draw spell to Ancestral Visions, we don't compare every return to play spell to Exhume, Animate Dead, and the like. Now that reanimation effects have been increased in price and stability somewhat, we can judge this for what it is: 4 mana to return a creature to play (fair), with an optional boost (good.)

This is a solid card, there should be no complaints.

A horrible pun stapled to a decent card. You're going to be paying G as part of the cost, 95% of the time, so you might as well take it into account. Best on a creature that has persist, so that it just refuses to go away.

+1/+1 is not needed for reanimation, but its a fair card none the less.
