Good mechanics, think of it as a 1/1 Banding creature with Flash that can be recast with a Bösium Strip.

Paying 2 to prevent a blocker from dieing AND killing the attacker is pretty good.

@themicronaut: No you cannot. You can only cast your top card on your graveyard with Bösium Strip. To cast what you think you need Ring of Ma'rûf.

Since banding was more useful than anything on defense, an instant-speed banding weenie is better than most people realize. Let's say suddenly you have a big trampler, like a Berserked/Blood Lusted Ball Lightning and I've only got one little creature to block with. Hit this, block as a band with your two weenies and because of banding the defending player gets to distribute the damage. Banding was an effective trample killer. Knight Exemplar basically turns the token into a 2/2 endless blocker. You can assign all that trample damage to him too per the banding rules.

Actually, refering to @mrredhatter's comment, you can cast this with a Bösium Strip if you just cast it and it is the top card in your graveyard. That situation is what I was referring to. Perhaps you should both read my comment and take it into context before you try and correct me. In fact, I think I detect a grammar error in your comment. Moreover, I am offended that you would suggest that I would waste a Ring of Ma'rûf on a flipping Errand of Duty. Seriously?!
