This has got to be the worst hashshāshīn of the bunch.

Stronghold Àssàssin is the preferable Zombie Àssàssin most of the time: The latter is a 2/1 for which requires tapping itself and saccing a creature for the effect, while this one is a 3/2 for which needs to exile itself in particular instead and in addition also two cards in your graveyard.

"Zombies don't kill, they recruit" though this guy eats to corpses, kills a creature and then destroys himself, horrible card!

Would rather play Warpath Ghoul and Terror. Same cost and you get to keep your creature.

The worst part about this is the art, and I like Pete Venters. But Freud would have a field day with this.

This card absolutely reeks of being zealously over balanced. I would not be surprised to find out this card originally had an activation something along the lines of "tap and sacrifice Zombie Assassin, destroy target creature" and cost a colorless less. But then the balancing hammer came around and hammered him so bad that the card is completely unplayable.
The entire casting cost of Zombie Assassin along with activation is now 4 colorless and a black, remove a creature in play and two creatures in your graveyard from the game to simply destroy a NONBLACK creature. That does not even follow flavor...do the zombies turn to dust? Does it take 3 zombies to take out 1 nonblack creature? Why can't they destroy black creatures?
Bad card.

Patriarch, I know how many problems you have with those barbarians, so I thought you'd want something to deal with them."
"Yes Nicol Bolas, I do have problems with them. They---where did it go?"
"Oh him? Oh, he'll be back. I promise on my millennia-old life that he'll return."

5 mana for 3/2 creature. (bad)
Removal is good, but paying 5 mana for it and it has summoning sickness, and it gets exiled so cant even recurred.
Remove the exile part and you might get 2 stars.

This manages to be the worst card in Type Redundancy Limited, in which you're only allowed to use cards whose name is identical to its creature subtypes.
If you're the worst card even in categories that sound tailor-made to exclude all the competition, you're gonna be a bad card.
If you play a card that's the worst card even in categories that sound tailor-made to exclude all the competition, you're gonna have a bad time. Unless you're a die-hard Johnny.
