I played this a couple of nights ago and my friends just started laughing... clearly not destined for the Hall of Fame.
For what it is worth, he did manage to ride shotgun on a 1/1 flier and create about 3 extra points of damage for me.

Infantry Veteran costs less but cannot give it's bonus to blockers. This guy can give his bonus to both attackers and blockers because nobody plays with snowcovered lands these days. So why is IV 2.5 and this 0,7? Don't say it's because you are too afraid of this guy dying.

It's a 1/1 for 2, with an OK ability. It's a 1/5, maybe 1.5/5. It's certainly not a .5/5
I like that flavorwise, this guy is a smaller, weaker version of Kjeldoran Elite Guard. In terms of function, this can be pretty bad card disadvantage, and isn't very useful as a 1/1 for . There are tons of human soldiers that are better at 2 mana.
