Raise Dead, Lightning Bolt and Giant Growth combined into one instant that costs the sum of them . . . . its ok, but when you really need to consider whether its worth paying three man for a spell that usually costs one mana, just for the convenience of choice.

I don't think that really does it honor, SavageBrain, as you should remember that it may be a bit overcosted, but it's a really versatile card. Of course, these charms don't really weigh up against the Shards of Alara charms, but I still think they could be very convient.

Crosis's Charm is better, since its black effect is even better than Terror, which is a 2-mana spell (as opposed to the 1-mana Raise Dead effect this has)

This is, I believe, the worst of the cycle. The other ones have options that end up adding up to costing more than the charm. This one, as has been noted, does not.
If the first part had been "Add to your mana pool" the charm would have been no better or worse, but it would have been a fantastic collector's item. "They printed Dark Rit, Lightning Bolt, and Giant Growth all on one card!"
(I suggest Dark Rit makes more sense because those three cards were part of the very first cycle to exist in Magic: the Gathering, the "get three of something for one mana" cycle that also included Ancestral Recall.)

Dark Ritual would have been a worse mode than Raise Dead.
