How does one make a wall a familiar? And it just must be so humiliating for everyone else. "Oh so what's YOUR familiar? A raven? A cat? Perhaps an owl? Well take a gander at that fortress behind me. Yeah that's my familiar."

Makes some blue counterspells cost only 1 to play

I think, if you notice, theres vines growing all over the walls. Maybe thats the form the fallen battle mages take? I don't know for sure but it's a thought.

I wonder if this would be playable in a Bant exalted deck.

Pretty lulzy that the Sunscape familiar is a frickin' wall.

Even lulzier that the Thunderscape Familiar is a dinosaur. Well, Kavu, same difference really.

What the HELL is this thing?
"My spells would be far too expensive if it weren't for my pet wall." Up there with "if it weren't for my horse, I wouldn't have spent that year in college."

Its got magical green and blue stones built into the mortar, and your fortress not only protects you but fuels your green and blue spells. Don't question it, just use your imagination.

You have to be a pretty lonely wizard to have a wall as a BFF... Good listener I guess.

If it can join with any physical form, why does it choose a wall? Wouldn't it make more sense to be a Changeling?

I like the cycle of familiars because it lines up with the Alara shards, and provides mana ramp in color pairs/triples that don't have access to {G}. Especially in Commander games, where casting big spells and casting multiple spells a turn are both important, these guys put you on an even footing with the player who T1 Llanowar Elvesed.

Can someone please give me a ruling on this. A player has Sunscape Familiar and casts a blue spell that normally would be CMC of 2. Thanks to the Sunscape the CMC for them is 1. Can I cast a Spellstutter Sprite with no other Faeries in play to counter it?

I really want to make some sort of Evolve, Proliferate, Counter deck. This guy may help...
And @sauvesean, any card that's cast will always have the same CMC, regardless of what you paid for it.
