As for the card, it seems pretty good, especially in limited. The first strike makes this one quite strong.

This card is flavorfully connected to the chick from stab wound.

Now I know what everybody is thinking - but technically, that would be Gomorrahy.

Pros like me know that first strike and high power make for excellent board control.

One of the better keyrunes. 3 power and first strike is likely to pick up some free kills.

This is really nice. Avoids board wipes most of the time and can kill some of the nastier cards that have come out in recent sets like Thragtusk.

Officially the most disturbing flavourtext on any magic card ever, I mean look at the art, read the flavourtext, look at the art again, read the flavourtext again, that's pretty hardcore!

Hands-down the best of the RTR keyrunes. It'll usually only die to artifact removal or instant-speed creature removal, and it's a very powerful blocker that will take out Thragtusk and its 3/3 Beast token and live to tell the tale.

if you destroy the creature that the keyrune has turned into, in this case a black and red devil, is the card then destroyed and placed in the graveyard or does it return to the original artefact form and stay on the battlefield?

You just know those naughty little Rakdos goblins have stuck that thing in every hole they can find.

It suffers from summoning sickness. Any non-creature that becomes a creature in the same turn it was played still has summoning sickness.

Definitely the best keyrune. Devastating in limited.

@Travelsonic: Name one card like that. I didn't think so.

Out of the ten keyrunes, this one is the best. It can trade with both Thragtusk and its baby, while also killing a lot of the bears in the format.

The only thing about the keyrunes: I've been spoiled by Darksteel Ingot, and the signets, so it is hard for me to not be biased in judging this. ~_~

Behold, the only Standard-playable Keyrune. 3/1 first strike is rather powerful compared to the others. 2/3 hexproof? 1/4 lifelink? 2/2 flying? I'd much rather have this than anything else, even Boros's 1/1 double strike.

In a two-color deck, keyrunes are usually better than Darksteel Ingots. They are also generally better than signets (Dimir Signet sure can't attack for two unblockable damage each turn).
