I think it's a testament to how little defense matters comparatively, when for the price most players would rather have a 2/1 than a 1/3. Still, as a flyer a 2/1 doesn't really need to worry about blocking unless chumping anyhow, and has double the damage output. This card makes me reminiscent for both Mistral Charger and its doppelganger, Stormfront Pegasus.

I was actually surprised with myself when I saw this guy and realized that this is the first Pegasus I've seen in a long time that was a full-grown horse.

See Havrekjex 's post on Augur of Bolasto see that it blocks a lot of older two drops like Ash Zealot and it doesn't die to Pillar of Flame. Should help make Batallion work? Not great but not bad either.

Extremely underestimated card. Good early flying blocker, works great with smite.
completely underrated. @Eternal_Blue: i value your opinion, but you're wrong. there are plenty of reasons to play this over those two, one being aura heavy decks with cards like ethereal armor, of which both these cards were printed to the same set. Also, what wedwood93 said about Doran. This card was a bomb in limited because it became increasingly difficult to get rid of with more and more auras. And, this card is still a pain because it offers a solid body on a flier that you can mutate into a strong attacker.
