I prefer Story Circle.

Better than most of the Rhystic cards. Still seems to be more trouble than its worth for what you might want to do, although the mana mind games might be your bag, so it depends.

Found an infinite mana combo and want to annoy your multiplayer group rather than just end it with Comet Storm? Look no further.

If you try to use this card for anything that matters, chances are good you'll wind up paying a LOT more than 1 mana to prevent damage in the end. It does have the advantage of preventing damage from ANY source, not just ones of a specific color or type. Of course, Righteous Aura has that same ability.

It's a bad sign when using Shield of the Ages might wind up being cheaper in terms of mana spent to prevent damage.

Love this card. You guys are thinking wrong.

What happens is this.

Opp: Attack for 20.
You: Prevent that damage, do you pay the 1?
Opp: (Counts, sees you have more potential mana) No.

Noone is going to pay the mana, once they realize you will win the mana war.
