Yeah the art is good but I'm not sure if it fits. It's got the "grotto" part down but needs some help in the "shimmering" department.

It's like a dual (well, more like a quintuple) land which can be used in pauper. That's something hard to find.
It's also good for enemy colors, if you're not running (or already running 4) of Innistrad's duals like Clifftop Retreat.

Inefficient, but it works. In dual, running a basic is more effective, but in tri or more in limited or pauper, it is worth it.

Actually, this is useless in a 4 colour EDH, since there are no 4 colour legends. card is decent, although it slows you down if you're running it in 2 colour, but as fixing in 3 or more coloured decks, and especially (as has been mentioned) pauper, it's very helpful.

You don't understand how much I love Shimmering Grotto. I personally ordered 100 from TCG so I can have a Shimmering Grotto EDH deck.
I plan on making a cape of Grotto's in the future. Then no one will mock me and my Grotto's! AHAHAHA!

As many have said, a good mana fixer for pauper, on a budget, or in limited. Not really constructed tourney standard though.
I think this version has the better artwork though (both are quite nice, but this one does have the slight edge. Props to Cliff Childs.)
