You see what he screams...
It seems like a decent card. The only problem is that if you use him to tap you can't use him to block and that seems to defeat the purpose of having that 3 toughness.
Blinding Mage does not ALWAYS do it better. This can be used in any deck and when you're tapped out. This is gonna be a beast in limited. 3.5/5

I would MUCH prefer him as a 0/4, but nonetheless decent as a common..also you can use him to chump block a beefy creature, THEN tap an opponent's creature before combat damage :)

Um... don't think that'll work for you tcollins, once you're at the declare blocker stage the attackers are already tapped... and attacking. :/

This rules limited. Runs in any deck and stops an attacker for no mana cost when you're tapped out (or without white mana). When you're facing infect creatures or big beefy attackers, the 2 life cost is insignificant.
@mflanaga & tcollins: You're both correct, but for different reasons. As tcollins said, he would be able to declare BS as a blocker, then tap a creature (as long as it's not already attacking or tapped) before combat damage would be dealt to destroy BS. Trying to tap an attacking creature (as it seems you were understanding it, mflanaga) would not prevent any damage, and would in fact do nothing.
The idea is that the toughness means you don't have to worry about tapping someone down (and paying the mana) if the attacker isn't big enough to bother you. Early game it doesn't beg you for mana just to do it's job, but it's still able to be relevant once they slam down something big enough to take it in a fight. It worked out great for me.

2 power or less, leave him untapped. 3 power or more, use the ability.

And we didn't know if Souleaters ability counts as a white ability since it uses plain or if it counts asa colorless ability.
Does anyone know? would be good ot know for future matches
The ability would be colorless because source of th ability that is targeting the pro-white creature (the souleater) is colorless.
But that is just my opinion.
