At times it can be useful, but its limited in its use because it is too heavily restricted to white mana.

This card has it uses, but I prefer Ancestor's Prophet for life gain and a mixture of other clerics for damage prevention.

If you are just up for lifegain in a Cleric deck, use either Oracle of Nectars or Ancestor's Prophet instead. If you are just up for protecting creatures, use Oriss, Samite Guardian. When you're looking for damage prevention, use Orim, Samite HealerMaster Healer or instead. Paying five mana for a 2/3 body with a restricted and somewhat expensive ability doesn't sound that great even in a Cleric tribal deck. I remember a friend of mine putting her into a five-color casual deck... >)

I run it in a mono-white EDH deck currently. Not as the general, though. Her ability is really useful for draining off that last bit of mana before the start of your turn. Two life here, 4 life there, it all starts to add up. Once you get a large enough mana pool, she really becomes a threat, and people will waste removal on her, instead of something more important. Also, with Boon Reflection in play, you get more bang for your buck, as it were.
Outside of an EDH/multiplayer environment, I most certainly would use something else.

I can see her being quite good in a multiplayer EDH game as well. No one would want to kill you, giving you enough time to go crazy with your life total and maybe develop a good board :P

Should have been a 1/4 or 1/5 for 3W and the ability shouldn't cause her to tap. She should also have protection from Red. Then she'd be playable, with a little more flavour.

You all are complaining too much. Back in the day this was a great card. A lot of the cards you guys claim to be better came way after invasion
