So a vampire turns into... a vampire?

Yeah sure.

This is AWESOME!!! He should make a really good replacement for Vampire Nocturnus and should hopefully bring vamps to the spotlight again

Don't forget, he's not even a Legend. Get a couple of these (blood)suckers out and your tokens will be MEAN.

U can start a playset with these in a vampire deck with Sorin!

Now THIS is a Vampire lord. Makes tokens to buff, easy as hell to flip into, and reasonable cost makes this one of my favorite cards in the set. Love to see this break into Standard cause it certainly seems strong enough.

The first vampire they've printed that actually makes me want to make a vampire deck.

Lord of Winmoreage.

Like, I love how the flipped version can keep making tokens. "25 POWER OF GUYS IS NOT ENOUGH"

It just finally clicked:

Transform is more than just what has been stated already. It's also 'Level up- Innistrad Style'.

This makes me think we won't maybe see either Level up or Transform become common things exactly as they are, but that the idea behind them is going to be used repeatedly in future sets.

Single-handedly won me several games at Pre-Release last weekend. The highlight I can think of was swinging (in the air) for 21 with Lord of Lineage and 4 of his tokens.

This guy is a monster in limited, and I smell possible constructed use in his future.

One well-timed Day of Judgment... and it's all over for this guy.

Love the card and its flavor. It has real potential. Here's hoping that future vampires are playable and aren't all crammed into that 4 cmc slot. (I'm looking at you Olivia)

As for Day of Judgment, this card may actually help against it. Most players know when a DoJ is likely going to drop. If you play this guy it allows you to keep advancing your board position while you reserve creatures in your hand to rebuild quickly after a Day. Likewise, if you play him after DoJ, it is easier to rebuild your position.

Art and power combine to make the perfect card.

Apparently transforming increases the size of a creature's widow's peak.

Beyond amazing, probably going to become a staple for vampire decks at lightning speed.

@hairlessThoctar

Once he makes enough fellow vampires he becomes a house leader. At least that seems to be the flavour to me. Vampires do seem to be more powerful with a lot of underlings in gothic horror.

I wish he would give his boost to Bats as well, however. Like how Howlpack Alpha give his boost to wolves.

Another seriously undercosted Black fatty. Just to make sure that everybody wants to play with vampires. I'm getting bored of these.

Really fun in my Vamp EDH. My opponent wasn't paying attention and tried to pyroclasm all my vamps off the field. I made my last vamp and flipped him. >:-)

This guy has the sign of a truly great tribal lord- I want to put him in my changeling deck.

I feel like the design of this card would've been more elegant if only Bloodline Keeper could create tokens, and Lord of Lineage got the ability to transform back instead. Like, "at the beginning of your upkeep, you may transform Lord of Lineage."

But why am I complaining? This card is amazing.

I play two different vampire decks in my play group and i run two of these in both. Anytime i can put down a card and it makes my friends groan is a win in my book.

Unquestionable the best Vampire Lord to date. This card makes Vampire Nocturnus. Although Captivating Vampire is outshone by this card they do combine well together, very well. And Stromkirk Captain is fun with the whole first strike bit. It's hard to believe we now have four vampire lords to choose from :-)

Combos with Rite of Replication? Every other vampire gets +10/+10, and every Lord of Lineage gets +8/+8?

I think one of my old math teachers used to go by something like this.

EDIT: Oh, come on! No one thinks that lineage sounds like linear? :(

Does this card seem a little broken to anyone else? A fairly inexpensive tap generator for what will ultimately be 4/4's with flying and he's not even a Legendary meaning you can have more than one on the table at a time and maybe get 6/6's with flying or even 8/8'S!? Combo this with a card like Stromkirk Captain and you've got a practically free army of super heavy's with first strike. It's a little ridiculous in my opinion.

So, yeah, there's that.
