Pretty sure the angle is from above and the hero-type is leaping into a sea of undead with a shining flail mid-swing and a blazing shield in his other hand.

Yeah, white combat tricks should just be prevention, or maybe moving damage around. I don't like this +X/+X trend that they are pushing.
You guys underestimate lifegain. Yeah, straight lifegain is almost invariable terrible, but hybrid lifegain like this little number is actually pretty decent. Turn what would have been a chump into a successful block, and gain a healthy sum of life out of the deal. It will annoy aggro decks pretty thoroughly.
