One of the best 2-drops IF you get damage through on turn 2. I drafted two at a launch party and he was awesome, but only thanks to my Goblin Fireslingers. Without the bloodthirst he sat uselessly in my hand. With it, I was winning games, even though I never even remembered his second ability.

To think that at the time of me posting this, it took for me to vote 5 to bump his average to 4. This is one of the most aggro cards Red has been able to play since Keldon Marauders. He has what every Red creature wants, a way to get in. Marauders did it with vanishing and a leave play effect, making him undesirable to block. Likewise, Hellspark, Spark Elemental and Ball Lightning had power above their curve, haste and trample on top of dying EOT, making it unfavourable to block them (especially with unearth). This guy is just like them; he is fast and gets in. The only difference is that what this guy lacks in instant value, he makes up for by being a more stable clock.

That is 11 damage, guys. Sligh is so good right now, and this guy is one of the reasons.

Actually, I built a fairly decent deck that uses things like Arc Trail and other burn to simultaneously burn my opponent and/or keep this guy getting in for 3.
As for Limited (the format I like to play most), he is a high pick, especially with all the Goblin Fireslingers that roam the table.

Powerful Card. People frequently underestimate it's secondary ability. It's a perfect all-out aggro card, and with counters up, it can be downright nasty against the unprepared.

I second those who put this in their aggro decks. Putting this out after a Goblin Grenade on turn three is just... hilarious.
It reminds me of Plated Geopede, except perhaps even better since if Bloodthirst triggers, it's always at least a 3/3. I can't imagine RDW in Standard without four of these.
