Very dangerous in an elf deck. Play whatever elf you want whenever you want for 3 mana. Ouch.

In an elf deck, by the time you can play this guy, and wait a turn for him to work, you should have played something better.

I've never been a fan of Ron Spencer's art. It's so... I don't even know how to describe it. Frantic?

@tdl
the de***ion your looking for is steroid induced frenzy.
@Designer Genes - that's just plain silly. Not only is this a card advantage engine, but it let's you search your library for *any* elf permanent card and put it onto the battlefield at instant speed. Being able to get a creature onto the battlefield each turn regardless of what you draw is just damn great. Having Nissa's third ability on a stick is just damn great.
But yes, this should go in a LOT of elf decks. At 4 mana it might be too expensive for some of the more aggressive variants, but for a lot of them, the card advantage and tutoring this card provides is more than enough to warrant inclusion.

God, the flavor text is perfect.

Seahunter is sort of like the same card in blue for merfolk. Moggcatcher is sort of like the same card in red for goblins.
It's kind of weird that a card that's supposed to work together with elves has such an abusive flavor.
Maybe I'm overthinking it. After all, they're just elves.

With cards like rings of brighthearth and Thousand-Year Elixir along with the correct untaping outlets and mana ramp, this could end up being very useful.

I have an elf deck (roughly 60 - 70 cards) with this badass in it, and I find in every game I play with it, I always draw it in my first hand of 8 cards... This card combined with Rhys the Redeemed, Elvish Archdruid, Imperious Perfect, and of course Ezuri, Renegade Leader is virtually unstoppable. Then you can slap in a few Drove of Elves, and an Elvish Soultiller if it comes down to it. And once you have 80 lil 3/3 elves with regen, cast Luminescent rain for fun times... GG

I know a guy who uses another elf who taps for any colour to play intruder alarm along with this. Along with some stock standard mana elves he tutors for an elf, put's it into play untaps all creatures and does it again. Very annoying.

Don't forget chameleon colossus and the like. It gets really scary with all your elf/warrior effects giving it trample, etc. And elves have access to a lot of mana, which colossus likes quite a bit (give it +1/+1 and 8 mana and it swings for 20).
