If it didn't requite them to have a swamp I wouldn't like this card to much. It's never a good thing to count on your oponent to have something unless you have a way of giving it to them. Fortunatly there are so many ways to give people swamps with cards like Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, Evil Presence, or Contaminated Ground

It's not bad sideboard. Not really a fan of devoting both mana and a card slot to lifegain but late in a game when black is likely expending its life for the kill shot, this can throw the whole schedule off.
