I think it is funny that Phyrexia is trying to win with poison counters and deals damage in -1/-1 counters. So to combat this, the Mirrans are upping their life gain and making more things indestructible.

Is Terese Nielson the first artist to do art for the same card in two sets? She also did the art for this card in it's Mirage printing.

Why hit your own artifacts when everyone plays with them... At least it was an artifact when it got destroyed thanks to Liquimetal Coating.

Talk to the hand.

If you play this card on an indestructible artifact such as Blightsteel Colossus, would you still gain life even though the artifact cannot be destroyed. It seems to me that the destroy effect would still happen, it just wouldn't be effective.

Yay! Strictly-better-than-Shatter sees play in constructed!! Probably should've expected that with an artifact set in the mix, but it still took me by entirely pleasant surprise.
In limited, artifact removal has gone down slightly in worth with the release of Beseiged, but this card is still first-pickable, and a clear signal that your neighbors aren't white if you get it later than 3rd-pick.

Why does white have removal for every nonland permanent in standard? That makes no sense. Also, why we have this card and Revoke Existence in the same block is pretty confusing.

It is kind of funny that the art is so completely different from her original one, though.

And look at that, a MOE comment that's useful and informative!

It's not strictly better than shatter. Try replacing shatter with it in your red deck, and see how well you do.
Also if its a divine offering shouldn't you be sacing something you control for the life gain?

@usaden: Going by the rulings, you would indeed gain life.

It's a very good card, but I'm not really sure the prospect of gaining life is a good exchange for losing the ability to destroy enchantments.

I like to think this art is a play on the art for Phyrexian Portal.

Love the badass casualness of the Mirran in this picture.
