Ertai's Trickery can counter Aether Figment if its kicked.

Also Sneaky Homunclus can block a key creature if the attacking player is attacking with Prized Unicorn, Aether Figment couldn't

That's like saying lightning bolt isnt strictly better than shock because if it is redirected onto a phyrexian obliterator you have to sacrifice an extra permanent.
