Doesn't come into play tapped to add one mana of any color for a creature. 4/5 easy, maybe even 5/5. Slivers have a great new land.

A multiple color creature deck will enjoy this card.

Love this land, yes its no fun when your 1 mana short of a spell, but its the only multi colored producing land that can come into play on turn 1 and play your birds of paradise. After that you can basically play almost any creature no matter what color, and reflecting pools following produce any color mana too. Rupture spire by comparison comes into play tapped, technically using up two mana, one for the spire that you can't use and one for the mana you have to spend to keep it in play.

so when some one where to use this card. one would tap it to make a new permanent land? and can do so each turn so that by the 8th turn he could have all 5 different colors on the field through out the rest of the game? or is it till end of turn?

I think youre rating the wrong card. Im guessing you are referring to the card Unstable Frontier?

best land ever made
just use a full 5 color deck with only creatures with effects that other cards have.

@ burb: "Add to your {mana} mana pool" is not Synonymous with "Search your Library for a land and put it into play". It is temporary mana that empties after the step/phase ends. You can use it as though it were White, Blue, black, red, or green mana, but only on a creature spell.
And for future reference, Llanowar Elves doesn't search for forests, but (for the most part) you can use it as though it were a forest.

Great card for certain uses. I play mostly instant based decks, so I can't really think of a deck I would use it in. But nonetheless, I keep wanting to find a deck for it, lol. 4/5
@MasterOfEtherium : Without reading your comment I'm prone to think that you have some sort of mental defficiency due to the manner in which you type. But that is an intelligent comment (aside from the unnessesary profanity). I wonder then, if you're not actually retarded, why do you try to make people think you are? (May I also point out that he was crafty enough to avoid having his profanity censored, I don't think he's as stupid as he wants us to think)

Tolarian Academy is only better than Ancient Ziggurat if you're playing blue, otherwise it's not an awful lot of use at all, unless you have a Mycosynth Lattice in play of course.

I run as many as I can in my Ally Deck. In most cases it just says ": Add one mana of any color to your mana pool." This would have been good if it came into play tapped!

It used to be that the Ziggurat was one of my go-to lands for EDH. Now with the advent of Command Tower, it's been largely superseded in that role, but it's still a phenomenal land. And outside of commander, you really can't beat it in a creature-heavy deck.
