Good agresive card for that burn and for the offence. Pump it's Toughness up and it should survive combat.

It's not going to survive combat without help, but you can likely take out something pretty good when you put it on the battlefield, and if you don't rush you can take another card out (be it either a creature with 4 or less defense, or a card the opponent wastes to destroy this). Taking out 2 cards with just 1 card that pretty much doesn't have a drawback (except that target creature can't have too much defense and/or the second card requires your opponent's choice) is very nice.

Unfortunately, if all of your opponent's creatures have shroud, it must target your own creatures.

so what if it wont survive combat with out help, then you just killed 2 creatures with it, although normally people just put a jitte or a sword of fire and ice on it.

I definitely agree with Tommy. It doesn't need to survive combat, a 4/2 body on a card that does enough damage to destroy almost any creature played by turn 4 for just 4 mana is incredibly good. The only possible downside to this card is like demage said, if your opponent has no targetable creatures you have to pick your own, but 99% of the time you'd save this until your opponent has a creature to be destroyed anyway. This needs a reprint, 5/5.
Add Horned Kavu to the usable Kavu list. Pair the Horned and Flametongue variants for repeatable creature blasting.

It's kinda like a 3 mana 4/2 and a 1 mana 4 damage combined into one card.
Which is cool, and worth the mana.

I think it's great that they brightened the colors a bit in this reprint, but I don't understand why they cropped the image. Now we can't see the terrain he's standing on. Wonder why that was necessary.

Kavu Predator AND Kavu Titan make up the other playable Kavu.
Which is cool, and worth the mana.
Wonder why that was necessary.
