This is my random card for today. He looks like Numot's second-in-command in EDH.

A serious bomb against any control deck... Being a hybrid W/R that might not seem all that sexy at the first glance... Although he causes a rukas in legacy format giving you the vital card advantage needed for victory.

Combos well with Imperial Recruiter and Dwarven Recruiter Being able to tutor this card without using green mana may have its benefits.

For a good cycling combo add Order of Whiteclay and any simple sacrfice effect, to have a cycling duergar that will clear the field of artifacts and enchantments in no time. If Order of Clay has a problem swinging add Stun Sniper or Stingscourger

Very solid. You can potentially give your opponent a one-for-two pop in the mouth in terms of card advantage and still hang on to a 2/2 body. 4/5, IMO.

I think sometime, somewhere, *someone* should post the flavor of the Hedge-Mage cycle; which I'll attempt to do on this most-glorious-of-hedge-mages.

Why they're a hedge-mage is because those that hang around the border of both lands learn the skills of each color of mana. I.E. if you have a good border of 2 mountains/plains/plateau then they've been able to learn the skills/flavor of red and of white; giving them much more power than either would by itself.
