Hmmm its red and white.. and here we have cradle of vitality in white. Well thats an obvious one, play lightning helix for r,w, do damage, gain life, pay 1,w, to add counters to creatures. Triple play for only 2 cards.
two average cards--a lightning bolt and a healing salve--that alone barely saw play. yet, together are unstoppable!

Im gonna go out on a limb here and say lightning helix has the better value for dealing 3 damage.

Combining any of the five original cycle centered around three is ridiculous (Lets say brainstorm is the blue one and not ancestral recall) A blue and a red for brainstorm and bolt. Broken A red and a green for 3 damage and +3/+3. Pretty Good A white and a black for {b}{b}{b} and 3 life. Broken Any combination of these is broken, including this one.

I started playing Magic when Ravnica/Time Spiral were standard. Kamigawa had just rotated out. This was one of the first cards I found on The Gatherer, along with Remand, that I really wanted, but was out of my budget. I think it was 5 bucks a card. Had to wait a good 6 months before I was finally able to replace the Shocks in my deck for this! Great memories.
