Oh, goody. I can pay 6 for a potential 4/4 red-blocker.

This is an awful card.

Not quite... if you have three of them on the field they stand at 6/6 with protection from red. Still garbage to be sure, but not the worst ever. I give it: *

Yeah... not so good. Wish this card had a lower casting cost, but 6 for a potential 4/4 is brutal. Not one of my favorite pieces of art from Melissa Benson either, since she has done so much amazing work.

Sometimes i wonder if the designers did not make crappy cards just for fun. This card is excellent in a newbie deck, where each player plays his turn without surprises, combos etc

Legends is really just a hodgepodge of random card ideas that seemingly nobody bothered to balance for power (or Richard Garfield was the only one back then who understood card power level). It was just two guys who designed the set, before Alpha even came out. It's a good thing players back then were still playing their entire collections in 200-card 5-color decks and those gold cards were so fancy looking. Otherwise, Legends wouldn't have been received as well as it was. And this guy wasn't even the worst card of the lot...

Me: I swing with Ivory Guardians and various goats at you bunch of red dudes.
Him: 0/1 goats... Dont care.
Me: Mirrorweave!!!
Him: Ha, you just turned my dudes white. no one gets buffed.
Me: Oh yeah? Crimson Wisps!!!!11!
I need to build this deck.

You know, I always thought that it was supposed to buff all guardians, like Guardian Beast, Harbor Guardian, Spectral Guardian and so on. Which means this card is actually even worse than I remember.

@berzerker: That doesn't work. If you cast Mirrorweave, all their creatures will have protection from red and thus can't be targeted by Crimson Wisps.

another example of wizards trying to make a creature type tribal and then failing to make any other cards with the same type, the other example is Hero type.

Giants really go from one end of the spectrum to the other, don't they?
On one end, we've got all those ugly brutes like hill giant, and on the other we've got this guy and Fabio Titan.

@ROBRAM89 - Either that, or it makes all the creatures 0/1 goats with no abilities. Either way, it's useless as hell.
I literally was just reading comments on Ghostflame, which are almost all hate, despite it's awesomeness...
Actually, it's not likely to die to Ghostflame. If they are running it, they are running Red, and by the time this/Ghostflame hit the field, they will have a Red Permanent of SOME kind, making it at least a 4/4 (bigger if with friends).
