i think feast of blood might start seeing some play in aggro vamps but this card is going to be played in every competitive vamp deck

the card name and art just go together perfectly, except it should be zombies you control; then it'd be so dawn of the dead. still, i'd prefer feast of blood in my vampire deck

i guess you're right, i'll add both ;-)

Very nice for powering them up at the end of opponents turn, but yeah, overpowered since you practically destroy another creature and best part is it's not like you can prevent minuses. Only negative of this card is BlackBlack which can bite you hard in multicolored decks.

This is sick. Whether Adding or not adding the +1/+1 counter, if i have a couple of vampires in play, u will just swing in for the kill after that creature gets killed.

I second Wolfv's opinion. The only decent Zendikar deck anyone seems able to make is a Vampire deck, and it doesn't even take skill. The only problem with Vampire decks is their trouble dealing with 3/3s and higher once all their kill spells are gone (a deck that gets its face stomped by a Giant Caterpillar is NOT a deck for the ages), but this card breaks even that. Here's hoping we see some serious Vampire-hate cards in Rise of the Eldrazi.

Don't have a Vampire deck. Love it

Doesn't need to be in the vampire deck, considering this is as good as most spot removal for the standard environment where you're more than willing to spend 2 mana on something with a toughness of 3 or less at most times anyway (BB elf, Nighthawk, etc.)

This card is precisely what the vamps needed. Forget Feast of Blood, this rules. 5/5

Mmmmm, sexy. I'm pulling out feasts for this. Instant speed, kills most things, and can be used as a post-blocker glorious anthem? And all for 2 mana? Yes please!

Anyone else think this is at the wrong rarity? I mean it should be ethier costed diffrently and common so everybody and his brother has one whether they playing vamps or not....or maybe even cheaper (one black? how sick would that be?) and rare? This would have been a very intresting card if it were somthing like: rare BBBB destroy target creature and put that many counters on each vampire you control. Already BB says it goes in monoblack decks mostly so why not make it superblack? Its my experiance in sealed at least that uncommons have a tendency to clump, at my rl one the guy sitting next to me pulled three of these and no vamps, and of course I had a ton of common vamps but none of these? Results? Neighbor didnt win much at all and I went 3-2....a horrible result for magic in general. If urge was rare I woulda said so what I didnt pull any I only opend 3 wake packs...but if the general opinion is that vamps need this to go over the top, then they should have made it common.

In mono-black this card = Last Gasp, which is already a great card. If you are playing vampires in mono-black, this is strictly better.

This and Feast of Blood are amazing! Replace Disfigure with these, one mana more, but its worth it!

I mostly play vampire, i looove this card, can sabotage your opponent's strategy so much and bolster your own troops at the samt time.
BTW, vamps are for monoblack, I hate multicoloured vamps, so i have no problems with the BB cost.

Can you tap your vampire that was just summoned and doesn't have haste?

>>> Can you tap your vampire that was just summoned and doesn't have haste? <<<

Summoning sickness means, that they can't use abilities with Tap in the cost. Since this doesn't have that symbol, you can also tap vampires that were just summoned.

This is sick.

I miss the days when the word 'sick' was only used to describe lack of being healthy...

The dual Black is nice as well, especially if you're running Umbra Stalker.
...
Admittedly not the best use of this card, but still.

I'm new to the game..Might sounds silly...If someone places an urge to feed -3/-3 on my Elite Vanguard 2/1..does my vanguard die or just have -3/-3 till the end of the turn then go back to 2/1?

@fadman25 It dies because if something's toughness is less than 0, its dead
