Poor mans shadowmage infiltrator. For 4 instead of 3. And without evasion. And only if you control an island.

The biggest Thieving Magpie creature in quite a while. Though the complete lack of evasion is somewhat depressing. 3.5/5

Still, he is at worst a hill giant. Very nice in limited.

I really don't know about this thing. 3/3 for 4 mana, does nothing unless it: 1- attacks and isn't blocked, 2- you control an island. Seriously, haste? intimidate? let alone flying... and its not even a vampire haha... limited card for some use, else, better get a draw card spell.

a hill giant that lets you draw, this guy is great
I find this guy useful in grixis discard control for late game draw. Helps me keep up on my counterspells, killspells, letting my sedraxis specter finish the job

Is it just me, or does he look like a Deep One?

Personally, I would never mind having to play a Hill Giant. Surprisingly enough, often times, a 3/3 can do a lot more than you expect it to. Of course, I would prefer one for 3 mana rather than 4. Of course, there are better cards to run for combat damage and draw, but let's focus on this one. I don't mind this guy not having evasion or any other abilities. Considering how a blue/black deck usually runs, assuming one runs this in a blue/black deck, kill spells, counterspells, and/or bounce should be able to clear a way for this guy to deal 3 damage and draw you a card. But yes, it is true that if circumstances don't prove to be optimal, this would be simply a hill giant, good for blocking/attacking/sac.ing/etc. 3.5/5
