Considering all the -horrible- things that seem to accompany being Exiled in this game (Usually getting eaten, being reanimated into a zombie, being erased from reality, or being used as fuel), I'm not seeing the Exile Zone as a particularly honorable place to put someone.

In popular culture and superstition, a sanctified burial will ward against graverobbing, zombification, decomposition, and guide one's soul into the afterlife. Creatures being exiled here would be representative of being untouchable. Pull From Eternity is a good way to break that ward, apparently.

It's one of the better lifegain spells out there, especially later in the game when you might actually need one. This also helps stop Reanimate decks and prevents Liliana Vess from doing much with her ultimate, so it can be decent sideboard in the worst case.
