I like this card. Swampwalk will be nice in mirror matches, while multikick saves it from being a dead draw later on, unlike the lacerator.

This is perhaps the best one-drop Vampire in the game. It's a 1/1 with swampwalk and a multikicker for late game use. Run four of these.

I disagree that this is the best 1-drop vampire, although it cetainly isn't bad. The kicker makes him better than the trusty plague beetle, and also give him some good power in the late game.

okay how about i give a verification only someone with a maths A level can do : 1cmc for a 1-1 3cmc for a 2-2(still alright) 5cmc for a 3-3(not so good now i'd rather cast anowon) 7(!!)cmc for a 4-4
you see late game sure its something to buff up but...7 mana for a 4-4 with swampwalk...

@Darkcider: Sure, it's true that in the late game it might be a 4/4 for (3)BBBB. But if you have 7 swamps that don't need to be used for anything else, this card is better than a Plague Beetle, which will never be cast as something bigger than 1/1.

It's always fun to see a card I've always neglected to recognize irl on this site, then have a few guys easily convince me how wrong i was to do so :p
I always feel a bit jaded afterward. This is better than a 3. It's hardly ever a dead draw thanks to its versatility, and that makes it pretty good right there. At least a 3.5.

A 1/1 one-drop swampwalker seems almost obligatory in a new block and this one outdoes all the rest. Being a Vampire only helps. Guess this is why they keep churning out reprints of auras that turn land into swamps e.g. Evil Presence. This thing could become a big unblockable finisher at the end.
