Underrated, this works fine as a early/mid game card.

this doesnt make much sense.
Charging increases toughness?
Charging increases power in every game I have seen =S, except in this case

I think the toughness boost symbolizes how the Paladin is unstoppable as he charges into battle. Well, if nothing else, the Paladin is actually nigh-unstoppable in the Divine vs. Demonic deck because the Imps of the Demonic deck are generally too weak to do much of anything in the face of a 5-toughness critter, especially when its backed up by Serra Advocate ....

works WONDERS with Doran, the Siege Tower essentially a 5/5 for 2W

@Sironos:
This is a paladin. They're famous for defense in magic, and anyway, knights never make sense to me.

Because a +3/+0 boost would have pushed it above the curve. A 5/2 for 2W still wouldn't be overpowered, but Wizards likes to hide power in slight complexity (Mirran Crusader) instead of being blunt about it.

Otherwise we would accuse them of power creep, wouldn't we?

Accorder Paladin: Dude... are you riding your horse backwards?

A horse in motion is much harder to hit than one standing still. Think of it like when the paladin attacks, it's much harder to get a blow in.

Charge means moving quickly.
