This was used in many control decks when it was standard, usually as the only creature in the deck. I still use it in a throwback WUB control deck, lots of fun when it just keeps coming back!

If you're up against any nonblack deck:
First turn - Entomb for this guy.
Second turn - Dark Ritual and Contamination. You'll even have one mana left over to pay for Force Spike.
Now enjoy a nice game of solitaire.

very good in a pox deck! allows you to chump block all day and solves pox decks top-deck problems..
i think i would've preferred him as a 3/1, i know some would disagree and say it'd be too overpowered at that but with today's power creep? i don't think so..
he kinda looks like a sloth though..

This and Contamination. I miss playing extended many years ago. I would honestly play second just so I could discard him (playing first and entomb works too) then next turn dark ritual and the lock-down was ON.
Sigh, here I am many years later still feeling nostalgic for such an off the wall combo.

Amazing. Beautiful. Just think of the possibilities!
Innocent Blood, Bone Splinters, or even creatures like Nantuko Husk or Carrion Feeder
