Uh... There are better ways for white to kill nowadays. Nice flavor to it, though.

Crid Swap was probably based off this card. Just doesn't destroy and gives ye a cute little changling.

Sure it's a good idea if you're facing down a Shivan Dragon, but have you ever seen someone killed by an Afterlife token? It ain't pretty.

Pongify. Except they get a 3/3 for 1, where as here they get a 1/1 for 3.

Ehm...
Isochron scepter only takes spells with CMC 2 or less.

Anyway, Swords to Plowshares actually gets less appealing as the opposing creature gets larger. I wouldn't want to Swords my opponent's fire-breathing 5/5 dragon, because they would gain a large amount of life.
However, I am entirely satisfied switching it out for a wimpy little 1/1 spirit token.
And better yet, you can put it on an outdated creature of your own in a pinch and get a flying chump if you need.

This is one heck of a card. They really need to make white as powerful as it used to be. They've been taking a good step in the Scars block with white, which is good for me because its my favorite color to play.

Ugh, how could anyone try to argue that this is better than StP? Swords is fantastic, for 1 mana you exile their creature - that is, outside of pre-planned shenanigans get rid of it premanently - and give them perhaps one or two extra turns to live due to the life they gain. This card can also give them an extra turn due to a chump blocker - it's also 2 mana more, making it more restrictive, especially when taking action on your own turn.

I see what you're doing, mrredhater. You keep comparing cards. If magic were done your way, we would only have one spell of each card type and color. You can't expect every removal spell to be swords to plowshares, because they're not. It just doesn't work that way. Stop assuming everything is useless because something seems better than it.
Suture Priest could be nice with this.
