i painted this card to look like musclinara red with white dots n added "Hallucinogenic" keyword: adds -2 for 4 turns, to selected 'creature'

I think spiders should have an added ability that says something like "When this creature blocks a creature with flying, that creature does not untap during their controller's next untap step." I think it would fit the flavor that spiders block flyers with their webs.
On this card, they could keep the mana cost the same, make it a 1/3 with reach and the new "spider web" ability. I don't know, maybe they playtested it in the past and found it was broken, but seeing as spiders are a lot worse when they aren't facing flying opponents, it would make them a more viable option, and wizards wouldn't have to keep printing cards like Plummet to allow green to have a viable answer to all of the powerful angels, dragons, sphinxes, and vampires that the other colors get to play with. Maybe R&D already tested a similar mechanic and found it too powerful, but I feel like green gets hosed when it comes to powerful fliers, in both offense and defense.

Really should be a 'fungus spider'. Then I'd use him in my Ghave-Thallid deck. Well... maybe.

Underrated; it's a great blocker early-to-mid game.

Everything you could really want from a spider that isn't Deadly Recluse I have a G/B deck that could really use this kind of early air defense - but my 3 mana slot is already way overfilled.
Green spiders with higher toughness than power and Reach are a dime a dozen in this game, that's for sure... but as far as I'm concerned, this is one of the better ones out there. You get a lot of toughness for the mana cost, which enables it to withstand most attackers and removal spells, and the classic spidery Reach helps you catch fliers, while the nonzero power helps you stop weenie rushes. It should have been a Fungus Spider, but I still think this is a pretty good card.

That is, the toughest GREEN SPIDER blocker out there. :-)
