8 Mana and multi-colors for a weak variation of Control Magic. Really? Is this how balance works?

This card is my control in a deck I formed around Psychic Battle, which is why I don't really care about the CMC. But in blue green, there's some crazy acceleration, and with the right control setup, it can be useful.
Another strategy is with Arcanum Wings, which can really unnerve your opponents went you cast it on their creatures.

Fun casual card, and it's possible to make decent U/G decks revolving around auras. But the artwork doesn't fit the flavour at all for me.

If they cut the cost by 2, it would be a nice change. Control Magic is 2UU, and +2/+2 and trample shouldn't cost 3G.

Mind Control is a normal Blue control... Costs CMC This is +2/+2 and Trample, meaning you can steal the biggest creature there can be on the field. And with the Mana Ramp ability I see in , this card could easil be played just as fast as Mind Control.

why does this cost so much? my armadillo cloak cost 3 mana gives me +2/+2 trample and life link...
edit: just re-read the card didnt see that it says "you control enchanted creature"
