There are plenty better things you could do for . Not to mention green one-drop enchantments.

Jiminy Christmas, green shouldn't pump toughness in order to survive a blocking assignment.
Green should be putting down an 8/8 on turn 4, with a Giant Growth or two in hand, and snarling, "Go ahead, attack me -- I dare you."
If blocking is actually an issue for you in green, might I advise Tinder Wall, Wall of Blossoms, Wall of Roots, or Vine Trellis -- all of which are much more versatile and will actually expand your mana pool rather than costing you to give one of your blockers +0/+3 until end of turn.
Awful. Can't believe it wasn't reprinted in Homelands. 0.5/5

This worked awesome in the Elvish Hunter/Spore Flower decks of Fallen Empires. One of my favourite archetypes.

A terrible way to waste mana. Green always has something better - except in this set and Homelands.

FE is highly under-rated. This is one of the cards giving it a bad name. .5/5 because I can't go any lower...the worst card in the game.

Elven Fortress 2.0:
Elven Deep Wood -land. (Rare) Counts as a forest. Comes into play tapped. When Elven Deep Wood comes into play return a forest you control to owner's hand. : add to your mana pool : Blocking creatures get +0/+1 until end of turn. Blocking elves get an additional +1/+0 until end of turn.
"Finding yourself deep in elven territory can be one of the best defenses an explorer can have... provided the elves like you."
-Useful in multiplayer games. -The name lends itself to puns :) (Feel free to steal this idea Wizards)
