A more complex version of Blaze, although this card is better.

Infinitely better than blaze. Fireball is better than blaze too. Don't understand why everyone compares to blaze instead of this or fireball.

I used to have a bunch of these and when I gave my magic cards to my brother he sold them back twelve years ago. I miss all my old cards! I had a bunch of really good and valuable cards!

Demonfire beats this one. And i've noticed that, too. Fireball is the XR to deal X damage poster child of red. Not Blaze -_-

I remember in the first magic rulebook there was a little paragraph on using cards in creative ways. This was used as an example, in it it was used on a creature with Regeneration with X=0 to prevent it from regenerating when the person hit it with a Lightning bolt or whatever (short on mana?)

This is the best card of it's type in the common slot.

I wonder if anyone ever died from a heart attack or something when someone went Mountain, Black Lotus, Channel, this. They would have really been removed from the game entirely.

Good destruction/removal. Way ahead of its time in terms of indestructible creatures. (Indestructible includes "lethal damage does not kill this creature")

The best way to get rid of a Corrupt Official.

According to the printed text, if I kill my opponent with it, it will remove him from the game. Then, since he's gone from the game, I won, and so the game is over. That means that my opponent must be returned to his deck.

5/5, only way to put your opponent in his deck.

Disintegrate is a really good card. I think it is better than Fireball. I'm surprised there weren't more "Channel Disintegrate" decks back then (or maybe there were, I don't know).

Fantastic art, fantastic effect and back in the day, the idea of a card being completely removed from the game was pretty radical. It gave you the feeling that this guy didn't just die. He was completely undone.
