Strictly worse thanFireball,Disintegrate, and Banefire

Is that boat weilding and swinging a sword and having a drill in the front, and this is all happening on a red card.

That would be a mast and a sail >_>
and the prow of the ship >.>

Fireball, Banefire, Demonfire, Disintegrate, Ghitu Fire, Kaervek's Torch and Lava Burst are all better choices.

Pot makes you see funny things.

Fireballesque clones that are not really better than Fireball are required to have cheesy flavor text. It is an iron law of reality.

(Case in point: Lava Burst. Even back then, nobody used damage reduction except maybe Healing Salve, which was moot because you could always just use it to gain 3 life. I can't think of anyone who used damage redirection effects, either.)
