This is overpriced and is every bit as inane as printing squire at three mana, or mon's goblin raiders at two mana.
Even if it was priced at four mana, it would be mediocre due to the lack of synergy. At four mana, this card could have been an unremarkable, but reasonable card. A pricing of five mana brings this card from difficult to like to impossible.
I realize not every card has to be at the high end of the curve, but this card makes chimney imp look endearing.

Before you complain about Caravan Hurda, consider Dromad Purebred. He even has a useful creature type (in white)

Definately going to my Chimney Imp/Deathcurse Ogre deck.

ROFL what a crap common. 1 attack with lifelink who ever would play this??

This card plus teetering peaks (and some bounce) gained me enough life back to win a side draft at the prerelease and its always nice for blocking up the ground. Reminds me a lot of siege mastodon.

Weakest giant ever. Literally.

you could use Inside Out to gain some lives, but still it is way too expensive to pplay this.

Not the best card, but at least it has lifelink.

What the hell is a hurda? And why do Surrakar's get their own creature type but not hurdas?

Well... it's better than Dromad Purebred, but that's not saying much. Too exspensive for White.

Why in the name of the Goatse man's stretched, distended *** does he have a power of ONE?! He's a GIANT! He can trample things and he's a helluva lot bigger than some of the creatures he's fighting!

I don't think this is better than Nomad Purebred, Nomad could block in almost every possible scenario Dromad could be blocking a creature with higher P than 1, also it could benefit from other sources of damage such as 'deal 2 damage to all non flying creatures', etc.
So no, this is far worse.

Ummm.. I guess you could use him as a defender, clearly, but at 5CC? Way to pricey. While it is not the same rarity, compare it to Shepherd of the Lost for the exact same cost.

You could use Righteousness to gain quite a bit of life, and the hurda isn't likely to be killed by whatever it's blocking.

Not even good in limited. Not good anywhere. I'd ask wotc why worthless cards like this get printed but i know I wouldn't get an answer so why bother.
Even if it was a 5/5, it would still be rather ho-hum.

Only play this if you have Doran on the table.

anyone else saw this and thought it was an orky spelling of herder?
On an unrelated note, 1 power lifelink creatures should not cost 5 mana. What good is one point of life each turn going to do on turn 5+? But then, if this was 1 or 2 for a 1/1 or 1/2, this probably wouldn't still be a giant.

I've got two of him in foil! .... :(
A sad, sad card given that it was released months after Baneslayer Angel at the same CMC.

Are you *** serious? Baneslayer is a Mythic, and one of the best. This is a common. Every set has bad commons. If you won't play anything that's not comparable to Baneslayer, then have fun paying $200 for every deck you build.

@Saxophonist -I'd say he's a domesticated giant. A BFG, if you will. Actually more like a Big Dumb Giant, considering the flavour text.

This is just not a good card. It's especially insulting that it was printed in the same block that later gave white Perimeter Captain and Wall of Omens to defend with.
