Well duh, of course Fyndhorn Rangers would'nt fit into Zendikar... But still this card doesn't really fit either since you're supposed to bring out a lot of lands to trigger landfall. Flavorwise, it's pretty good.

Why is the rating for a functional reprint so much higher than that of the original?
I find it fantastic that this works in a perfect series with llanowar elves, Greenweaver druid, and elvish aberration. Turn one, llanowar elves, turn two tap three mana to play your druid, then you have six mana to play your abberation. Fun times.

Creepier than Fyndhorn Elder, but otherwise strictly the same as that card.

Used to love this card but notices that it weakens my defense and slows my casting of really powerful creatures.
I'm not fooled by the 2 green mana it offers. This is a bad card to combine with Llanowar Elf. It works well for Terrastompers but it kinda slows you down when it comes to other more powerful beasts.
Birds Of Paradise, along with Sylvan Ranger (for shuffle) or Arbor Elf are the best partners for Llanowar Elf.

@keeds 4:
Not by a long shot, at least in the 7th edition art.

What is it about Druids that makes them so good at tapping for mana?
